   Business Controller

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in finance & accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial accounting and management accounting roles, preferably with financial services/ banking sector operating in an international and multicultural setting
  • Strong background in management control, accounting, reporting, financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, including analysis
  • Good exposure to accounting software packages
  • Good written and verbal skills, and interpersonal skills to develop relationships with key stakeholders in the value chain (Operations, ICT, Finance, Business)
  • A pro-active, motivated, structured, and logical approach to work
  • Energetic as well as a flexible working attitude
  • Result driven, with a strong sense of accountability
  • Strong problem analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills, ability to demonstrate sound judgement

  • Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial management reporting including dashboards
  • Ensures income/cost data to be at its most accurate, complete, and timely
  • Conduct variance analysis on every quarter and identify red flags, if any
  • Present financials to the senior management including explanatory notes
  • Assist in developing the business plan and budget for the CFO business segment
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders
  • Working with business and Management Accounting team to prepare for the annual budget, budget analysis and monthly forecasting of the business which includes revenues and costs
  • Supporting decision making by providing stakeholders with timely, detailed, and meaningful insights and visibility on business performance
  • Forming effective partnerships with all departments as well as other lines of business, functions, and host on all relevant management accounting matters
  • Consult and align with other departments (HR, Risk, business management etc.) to provide multiple data and analysis
  • A go to person for the team of multiple management accounting topics, including training-on-the-job
  • Responsible for preparing the internal management reporting as well as revenue and costs projections/ forecasts
  • Performing ad-hoc analysis where required to assist in management decision making
  • Create and deliver presentations of financial analysis, trends, metrics, and results, including assumptions, calculations, and conclusions
  • Reviewing and understanding cost drivers for each business line and working with business / global teams to identify possible savings
