● Master’s Degree required, preferably MBA, Economics or Business Administration
● 15+ years of professional and executive leadership experience
● Deep expertise in blockchain, digital assets and financial market infrastructure globally
● Ability to build institutional-grade operating models suitable for future multi-license environments
● Hands-on leadership style with strategic and operational capabilities and excellent stakeholder management and board-level communication capabilities
● Demonstrated success leading start-ups and scaling businesses internationally with proven ability to recruit, motivate and scale high-performing and globally distributed teams within international operating models
● Strong familiarity and network with institutional counterparties, banking partners, liquidity providers and fintech ecosystem
● Good understanding of relevant laws and regulations, specifically MiCA and familiarity with DORA, PSD2, MiFID, EMD and payment services infrastructure
● Fluent in English; Dutch and/or additional European or Asian languages are considered a strong advantage
● Experience overseeing outsourcing, cloud governance and third-party risk management frameworks is a strong plus
